Forever - Maggie Stiefvater For the most part I liked Grace, Sam, Cole and Isabel even with the amount of teen angst displayed by one and all. Sam was rather pathetic; Cole was alternately depressing and suicidal; Isabel was the most angsty of the bunch; and Grace kept shifting continually. I admit to shaking my head thinking why am I reading this. Of course, it was to finish the trilogy but I found it was a wasted effort as the ending was lame as hell.

Just like the other books in the series, the shifting POVs is just too distracting. It rips the reader from the flow and detracts from the story itself. I found Forever to have a very slow start (200 pages worth) while the last 50 were very exciting but with little actual conclusion. WTH was with the ending? Did the author just get tired of these character too? I mean if I wanted to come up with my own conclusion, why suffer through 300+ pages in the first place.
