This book takes place in a private Catholic girls school with the requisite cliques and high schooly crap that dominates YA novels. Jane and Ally had a strong relationship though you hear about this but don't experience it. I felt that the romance angle was lame and there really wasn't anything about the relationship with the ex-boyfriend. All in all I thought that there wasn't enough information to draw the story together. It just seemed piecemeally to me and without much substance. I don't recall how this book made it onto my TBR but it definitely isn't what I was expecting (judging by the cover). Overly angsty teenagers are so not my deal but if you enjoy that type of environment, you'll probably like this book as most reviewers did.
