I really like this author. His books are suspenseful with many twists and turns, as well as a slew of red herrings and dropped clues that only become apparent at the end of the book. A true master.Ex Secret Service agent Sean King is now a lawyer, living a quiet life in rural Virginia when all hell breaks loose in his quiet town. While Secret Service agent Michelle Maxwell, is having a rough time of it after her protectee gets kidnapped right under her nose. Sean and Michelle team up to unravel the mystery of what his protectee (a murdered presidential candidate from 8 years ago) and her protectee (the current presidential candidate) have in common. They realize very quickly that nothing makes sense and no one can be trusted.
This is a fast paced thrill ride from beginning to end.
