Horns - Joe Hill I really liked Heart-Shaped Box but this book wasn't quite up to that quality of writing. I'm not giving up on Joe Hill and will definitely be checking out his future efforts.

Ignatius "Ig" Perrish wakes up one morning with horns protruding from his scalp and people suddenly start telling him their inner most thoughts (all of them evil). And with his responses he can actually make them act out this terrible fantasies. hmmm that could be fun.

I found the book a little confusing since the time frame shifts from past to present with no indication and it takes a while to figure out "when" things are happening. The book also shifts POV and repeats huge parts of the plot from a second perspective which is rather disconcerting and boring. This is tagged as horror but it's basically a murder mystery (Ig's girlfriend is killed and Ig is the one and only suspect) with a little Satan thrown in.
