This is a very angry story. It's supposed to be a romance and I'm sure it will eventually get there at some point! It's hard reading as the hero (Jed) is a recovering drug addict and alcoholic and no one in the film industry wants to give him another chance, so he's angry and disgruntled. The heroine (Kate) is a flat-out bitch and nasty to boot (though I guess they could be one and the same). If I didn't need this book to finish a challenge this month, I would have deep-sixed it. I'm sure it will turn out fine but God what depressing crap.UPDATE: This story was just depressing and rather boring! They are filming a pre-Civil War movie about slavery - UGH! Not a topic I ever read about or watch movies about as it's just so depressing and a rotten time in our history that we should all be ashamed of. Not even the interaction between Kate and Jed was exciting. Just blah blah blah over and over again. YUK!
