I certainly don't remember reading this book before but the entire story was very familiar and I knew exactly how it was going to end (including the whole vacation thing!). I don't know if that means at some point I read an incredibly similar book or that I'm psychic. Anyway, I did enjoy the story though admittedly I found the various implausible plot twists annoying. And forget about those court room transcripts - man were they boring and rather extraneous. I think the book was drawn out longer than it needed to be and was repetitive at times.
