I really liked this but felt that I had missed something important. About 14 years have passed since the end of [b:The Wages of Sin|436629|The Wages of Sin (Cin Craven, #1)|Jenna Maclaine|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1174762735s/436629.jpg|425535] and the events of an incident in Venice are discussed but not explained. I just found out that that story was in an anthology called [b:Strange Brew|6122181|Strange Brew (Cassandra Palmer; Jane Yellowrock, #0.5; Cin Craven, #1.5; Alpha & Omega, #1.5; Nocturne City, #3.5; Sookie Stackhouse, #9.1; The Dresden Files, #10.7; Vampire Files, #11.5)|P.N. Elrod|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1311986453s/6122181.jpg|6300509]. Guess I'll have to get my hands on that so this story will make a little more sense.
I liked the fact that Michael and Sin were still in love and that everything wasn't hunky dorey...jealousy and possessiveness...just like with real people. This really made the story seem more believable. I figured out who the baddie was early on but the why kept me turning pages until the end. I thoroughly enjoyable story even without knowing what happened in Venice.
